Dreams (Launch Countdown, 5)
I had just awakened from a terrifying nightmare. I was only four or five at the time, but I can still remember my grandmother asking me: what do you remember about your dream? was it in black and white or in vivid color? How did it make you feel? She taught me two things that day that I still practice to this day – write your dreams down and think about them objectively.
You may be wondering why I am talking about dreams today. As you will soon see, they are very mixed up in today’s quote and fun facts.
Today’s Quote from “Shifts in Time: The Adventure Begins”
“The key is key!”
John, 1969
My Dreams
I have made it a habit, since I was a child, to write down my dreams. I was plagued by nightmares as a child, writing them down gave me a chance to look at them objectively. This has helped me to discern what my dreams are trying to tell me. Some dreams are expressions of our own anxiety, some are our mind’s way of making sense of the world, and some dreams are given to us for a purpose.
Series Inspired by a Dream
This book series was inspired by a dream, or nightmare, depending on how you look at it. When I woke up, I began typing the story. The quote “the key is key” was first heard in that dream. I knew, immediately and instinctively, that this dream was given to me for a purpose. It was given to me so that I could share it with you as a series of novels.
